Wiff or Ball Season 2 Rules
Game Structure
- 3 Innings
- 4 ball walks, 3 strike strikeouts, 3 out innings
- 6 run mercy in innings 1/2, no cap inning 3
- Pitching Speed Limit: 55 mph (men) / 45 mph (women)
- Lineup must contain all active roster players present
Gameplay
- Max defense size: pitcher + 4 fielders
- Neighborhood rule is in effect for all bases
- Fielders must stay in front of the outfield fence to catch fly balls in foul territory
- Plays at home are force plays if the runner crosses commital point halfway between 3B and in-play line, the ball must hit the strike zone or backstop before the runner crosses home
- All out of play overthrows (umpire's discretion) result in one base advance and dead ball. Exception: overthrow at home is dead ball with no runner advance.
- Home runs foul/fair are judged by where they cross the foul pole (umpire discretion)
- Pegs are legal outs on the basepaths
- Ball must be touched across ball in play line to be fair ball
- Fair ball that bounces in play and goes around, under, through, or bounces over the fence is a ground rule double
- Foul tip third strike into only matted zone (no pipe) is strike 3. Foul tip off pipe or elsewhere is foul ball
